Here in Denmark the law says you must wear Helmet.
And everyone does (not because of the police/law though)! Also HD-riders. My helmet is an integral-helmet. I open it in town (or when speed is below 70 km/h (46 m/h). And believe me: it's important with a helmet - i've experienced that (without wearing my helmet in a certain situation i never will forget i wouldn't probably be able writing this).

In the summer i wear denim jeans and a classic chopper-leather-jacket (heavy but "tight" with belt). When it's cold or raining and it's going to be a longer ride i have a textile-jacket with kevlar and other protection, also with
"Cordura". Pants: same material. Always leather boots (classic - NOT chopper-style, more like military-boots)- very expensive, but worth the money . All right: when it's very hot (in Denmark that's when the tempature exceeds 26 C) i can find myself on my Savage with shorts and t-shirt. But only for short trips in town - and NEVER without my helmet (consider me your friend).
